Jody trained in many different athletic disciplines including rollerblading, weight lifting, and dance before beginning pole dance in 2011. She immediately knew she had finally found the right art form to express herself. Since then, Jody has branched out into other circus arts including aerial hoop and acrobatics. Jody performs around northern California at music festivals, night clubs, and circus shows. She teaches pole dance and aerial hoop at UCSC and SF Pole & Dance. Jody also graduated with a master’s in pure mathematics and teaches math at Foothill College.
Her dance group is called Pole Diversity, available for bookings!
Come try our newest apparatus at the studio - the lyra! Lyra is a large metal aerial hoop that hangs about 5 feet off of the ground. We will condition, incorporating aerial strength training, active flexibility and aerial dance choreography into the class. This intermediate lyra class is for people who have some experience with lyra and on the apparatus.
*Please wear yoga pants, tank top and socks to make sure that you're body is covered during the class.
